Engaging 60 minute classes are held weekly, adapted to special needs with different neurodevelopmental disorders (NDDs) diagnoses up to DSM-5 (NDDs comprise intellectual disability (ID); Communication Disorders; Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD); Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD); Neurodevelopmental Motor Disorders, Tic Disorders; Specific Learning Disorders and Developmental Language Disorder) in a process full of diversity that incorporates new skills through integrated arts, musical instruments are introduced with technique, reinforced with repetition and variation, from different learning approaches. Improve neuroplasticity, the brain’s ability to form new pathways as a result of “experiences,” or learning, through influences such as sound, sensation, movement and attention.
Singing in harmony, dancing, and playing in ensembles in two and three independent parts and canons, combine singing and playing instruments at the same time.
Techniques for successful playing of instruments (percussion, wind and chords) and musical literacy skills are developed alongside musical pattern creation.
Movement concepts relating to self space and locomotor movements are developed.
Collaboratively develop their own games, create story dramas and play more advanced games.
Creation of musical instruments and sound elements Musical notation recognition is more formal, and solfege hand signs are incorporated.
Compose their own music as a community of innovative collaborative music-makers.
